Photo of Deauville PlacardAt (almost) the end of the 168 Freeway, take Temperance North about 2 miles and you will find the entrance to the Deauville home development to the West. Deauville was developed in the early 2000’s by Granville Homes, a very well respected local building developer. The 400+ home development starts with homes in the mid $200’s: 1600 square feet, one or two story 3 bedroom homes. The mid range properties are approximately 2000-2800 square feet one or two story homes selling in the mid to high $300’s. The Estates collection or Image Homes are significantly larger, with larger lots.  These homes will sell in the mid $400’s to the low $500’s. There are a handful of custom homes in the development as well, with ¼+ acre lots or more. There is no HOA or monthly fee to live in Deauville.

Deauville  has a consistent elegant feel as you drive through the development. These homes are very well manicured, with a Mediterranean look to the facade of the structures. Wrought iron, shutters stucco finishes and turrets are often identified along with tile roofing. Earth tone colors mix with mature landscapes of Olive trees, palms, manicured lawns and flowering  trees that line the streets.

The appeal to the development is the abundance of green space. There is a large park with a childrens’ play area at the entrance to the development.  From the park there is a large walking path and greenbelt that goes through the development. The walking path connects to Clovis’ walking or riding paths and the Enterprise Canal.  The City of Clovis is in the process of building a Bird Sanctuary to the South of the development along the canal. There is a covered viewing area with benches and telescope.

There are foothill views, open space and it is very quiet. Deauville is at the edge of the city limits to the North East. It does not take more than 5 minutes to shop on Herndon for groceries, visit eateries or  hop on the freeway, however when you are in Deauville, you feel as if you are farther away from the center of town than you really are. The development location is an easy commute to anywhere in the Central Valley.
